Linkin Park will be collaborating with Incubus for this summer’s edition o f the annual “Honda Civic” tour. The veteran rock bands will hit Jones Beach on Aug 15 and Joining them will be special guests Mutemath. http://INCUBUS.jonesbeach.com
“Linkin Park and Incubus fans have grown up together,” said Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington in a press release. “We’re looking forward to bringing them all together for a great night of music.”
“We’re going to have a blast on this tour, and I know the fans will too,” added Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd.
Linkin Park will be touring in support of their forthcoming release Living Things, which will be released on June 26. The album, their fifth studio effort and follow-up to 2010′s A Thousand Suns, was co-produced by Rick Rubin (Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and the band’s vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Mike Shinoda, who also co-produced their last two releases. Living Things features lead single “Burn It Down”.
Incubus will be showcasing their seventh album, 2011′s If Not Now, When?. A full five years after the band’s previous album Light Grenades, it marks their longest gap between studio releases. If Not Now, When? features singles “Promises, Promises” and “Adolescents”.
Mutemath continues to tour in support of their third studio album, 2011′s Odd Soul.
Continuing a Civic Tour tradition, fans will have an opportunity to check out Linkin Park’s customized and autographed Honda Civic Si Coupe and Honda CBR250R motorcycle, which will be displayed at every tour stop.
