Two of alternative rock's defining music artists from the ’90s, Third Eye Blind and Dashboard Confessional, team up for a 38-date summer circuit through the United States and Canada. The co-headlining tour makes a stop at Jones Beach on June 14.
Rock band Third Eye Blind’s "Semi-Charmed Life," "Jumper," and "How's It Going to Be," all reached the Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100, and "Never Let You Go" reached the Top 20. Third Eye Blind has sold around 12 million records worldwide during the group's 22-year career.
Emo favorite Dashboard Confessional got its name from the song "The Sharp Hint of New Tears" from the debut album The Swiss Army Romance. The band’s music video for "Screaming Infidelities" won the MTV2 award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2002.
Third Eye Blind found fame in the late 1990s with hit songs including “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper” and “Never Let You Go.” The band performed at the Cal Poly Rec Center in San Luis Obispo in 1998 and the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles in 1999.
Dashboard Confessional enjoyed a jump in popularity after its song “Vindicated” was featured on the soundtrack of the 2004 movie “Spider-Man 2.” The band’s other hits include “Don’t Wait” and “Hands Down.”
