Weezer credits the Pixies as one of their main inspirations, and the Pixies likewise appreciate their tour mates. "We're all big Weezer fans, so we're really looking forward to this summer," Pixies singer Black Francis said in a statement. "We have a lot of respect for Weezer; they're not afraid to take risks with their music."
Both groups have new music. Weezer's "Pacific Daydream," which features the single "Happy Hour," came out Oct. 27. The Pixies' latest release is "Head Carrier" from last autumn.
