ladyaFollowing their hiatus of sorts in 2016, Lady Antebellum are ready to get busy in 2017. The country trio has announced plans for a new album and a summer tour with a stop at Jones Beach on July 14.
Lady A’s Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley each released solo projects in 2016, and Dave Haywood spent time producing other acts, but 2017 will bring a new album from them as a group: On June 9, they’ll release Heart Break, their sixth studio album, via Capitol Nashville. They released the project’s first single, “You Look Good,” on Thursday morning (Jan. 19), and will share some more new tunes during a Facebook Live event that’s set to begin at 9PM ET on Thursday night.
“We knew right away that we had to name this album after a track that is a play on the word ‘heartbreak,'” Scott shares in a press release. ”It’s all about those personal growths everyone goes through, and it was liberating to get back in the studio with Charles and Dave to intertwine those feelings into the recording process. I feel like we’ve reemerged stronger than ever, and I can’t wait to share more music!” Prior to Heart Break‘s release, Lady Antebellum will begin their You Look Good World Tour on May 26 in Bakersfield, Calif.; Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young will be joining Scott, Kelley and Haywood on the road during the summer of 2017. A complete list of the trek’s North American stops is below; the band will be visiting Europe and, for the first time ever, South Africa, during the tour as well, according to the press release.
